Polish Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research:
- is a form of organization of science in corporation of Polish Academy of Sciences;
- in the term 2020-2023 incorporates 45 elected representatives of Polish oceanology and related marine branches of science;
- statutory general meetings of Polish SCOR take place twice a year;
- between the general meetings, the statutory activity of Polish SCOR is carried on by the Steering Committee
The main goals of Polish SCOR are:
- integration of Polish oceanographers and specialists in related marine branches of science;
- creation of forum for presentation and exchange of scientific ideas;
- making a platform of transmission between science and managing institutions of scientific results and expectations or experience;
- elaboration of expertise for administration and different management institutions;
- cooperation with international SCOR (Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research);
- references for membership of Polish Academy of Sciences and for rewards of Prime Minister and Dean of III Department of Polish Academy of Sciences.
